Just a few hours ago, Xiaomi officially revealed the MI 10 Youth 5G in the Chinese market. The new devise seems to share a few things in common with the MI 10 Lite in terms of design and display, however the huge difference is that the MI 10 Youth comes with a Periscope Camera, which makes it the first Xiaomi smartphone to come with such type of camera setup. Guess it was about time for the company since other major brands have already been leveraging the feature.
The MI 10 Youth 5G comes in 6. 57″ super AMOLED capacitive display, a 104.2 cm screen to body ratio with a 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution at 401 ppi density. The display features a fingerprint scanner tucked underneath, and also a waterdrop notch that houses the 16MP selfie camera.
Under the hood is the Snapdragon 765G powered by MIUI 11 based on Android 10.0, paired with 6/8GB RAM and built in 64/128/256 GB storage capacity. The MI 10 Youth 5G is also powered by a 4160 mAh battery capacity that supports fast charging at 22.5W with 3.0 power delivery.
Now to the camera segment, which is the highlight of the show (device), the MI 10 Youth boasts a four camera setup at the rear made up of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, a 2MP macro sensor and an 8MP telephoto camera with a periscope lens that allows 5x optical zoom, 50x hybrid zoom and OIS support.
The MI 10 Youth 5G device is said to come in Blue, White, Black, Green, Orange/Peach colours and will be available at different pricing for different memory capacity.
The device is already up for preorder and is expected to go on sale on the 4th of May. However, we have no information yet regarding when the device would hit the global market.
