Redmi 10x Series: With 5G Connectivity – Here’s What To Know

Launched on the 26th is the latest phones – the Redmi 10x series from Xiaomi’s subsidiary – Redmi. In this series we get a 10X 5G, 10X Pro 5G as well as the 10X 4G which is a rebranded Redmi Note 9 for the Chinese market. A lot of similarities lie between the 10x 5G and its Pro with differing features evident only in the camera, storage and charging segment. The 10x 4G on the other hand is a standalone but with a little bit of similarities as well.

Both the Redmi 10x 5G and 10x Pro 5G are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 820 chipset, bringing the support of dual SIM technology and 5G connectivity. The software on both devices is based on Android 10, MIUI 11, with 6/8GB RAM on the 10x 5G and 8GB RAM on the Pro. Storage ranges from 64GB to 256GB. Both phones come with 4,520mAh batteries with 22.5W fast charging on the 10X 5G and 33W offering 58% charge on 30 mins on the 10X Pro.

On the front of Xiaomi’s 10x 5G and Pro is a 6.57-inch, 1080 x 2400 AMOLED display screen with under display fingerprint sensors and waterdrop notches. As for the camera technology, the 10x 5G Pro sports a 20MP selfie shooter with a quad setup on the rear featuring a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide, 8MP telephoto (with 3x optical zoom and OIS) including a 5MP macro sensor.

The 10x 5G features a lesser selfie shooter of 16MP and like its sibling, it brings a 48MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide but with a 2MP for depth on the rear. Both devices are offered in blue, pink, gold and white colours.
