Just recently Samsung pushed out the One UI 2.5 update, the latest iteration of its software to the S20 series shortly after the software debuted on/with the Note 20 Line Up. Samsung has now started rolling out same update to the Galaxy Z Flip, although currently to the United States for now.
The update brings along several new features for example, you can now request for the password to a Wi-fi’s connection from a saved contact. The update now enables you to search results from YouTube in the Samsung Keyboard search function, and you can now use split keyboard in landscape mode.
Other cool features include support for using Bitmoji stickers in Always On Display, which might be exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip as we don’t see it on our Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. There is also an enhanced Pro video mode, which now lets you select which on-device microphone is used for audio recording, enables recording via Bluetooth and USB microphones, and includes an option to record videos in 21:9 aspect ratio.
The update for the Z Flip also includes the August security patch, and its download size is about 1.1GB. You can get the update if you head to Settings > Software update > download and install. One UI 2.5 update is currently available only in the US region for now, but users in other regions should expect the update in coming days.
