New reports from Cowen investment bank suggest that the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone 12 series will be delayed for at least two months. This is due to the effect of the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic. It is well known that Apple unveils its devices usually in the 2nd week of September, this was the case with its 2019 series, however this time, iPhone 12 will be delayed and unveiled in November instead.
Based on leaks, we should be getting about 4 models for the iPhone 12 series, all with screens ranging from 5. 1 inches and 6.7 inches, with two 6.1-inch models in between. All of the new iPhone 12 devices will support 5G connectivity and, come with OLED displays with smaller notches.
As per the design, numerous leaks point towards a square casing with metal frame, compared to the round edges we’ve been familiar with. A peek at the spec sheet further indicates that the iPhone 12 series will have a A14 chipset based on TSMC’s 5nm processor under the hood, 4GB RAM for basic models and 6GB for the Pro, 128GB/256GB storage (plus 512GB on Pro) and Dual-lens rear camera (triple-lens with LiDAR on Pro).
