Usually, when signing up on a new App, a verification code or link would be sent to your phone number of email address. But recently, Facebook released a new software development kit that allows mobile App developers to integrate WhatsApp verification to account Kit for IOS and Android – a software that allows users to sign up or log in with their phone number or email addresses without using a password.

With this update developers can now give App users the option to receive verification through WhatsApp instead of SMS. This means that, whenever you download and want to sign up on a new App, you can choose WhatsApp as your means of verification.
